Hey there, kings and queens, I’ve been traveling the Pride circuit and I have to say, I love San Francisco Pride and everything that comes with it. The music and people are as diverse as it gets. SF Pride offered amazing artists on the Main Stage, Latin Stage and Beatbox Community Dance Tent. I was able to catch sets by Larry Tee, Fire & Reason, Backstreet Boys, Dangerous Muse, Nikki & Rich and Erika Jayne. The amazing crowds made the sets for these artists ever more special. You could feel the love of music in the air. Many thanks to Audrey Joseph, Juan Garcia, Gus Bean and Jamie Awad who hooked me up while I was in San Fran.

So finally new and in stores now is the new Scissor Sisters record, Night Work. I bought “Invisible Light” weeks ago on the basis that it was produced by Stuart Price (Confessions On A Dance Floor) and I have not stopped listening to it since then. It is parts Giorgio Moroder, with a little “Thriller” thrown in for good measure. Night Work is a pretty amazing collection. You can’t go wrong when Stuart Price produces your album. Other standout track are “Fire With Fire”, “Any Which Way” and “Skin Tight”. Get this record now and you can be the first to say you rediscovered the Sisters. You can chalk the last album to a sophomore slump, but with this, they are back on track and headed for world domination again. Night Work is another Stuart Price masterwork.

Ok so I had never heard about this Australian Idol contestant who was a Tranny. How did I miss this one? Courtney Act is about to release her first single, “Welcome To Disgraceland”. Act made a name for herself in 2003, when after trying out and failing to get on Australian Idol as Shane Jenek, she returned for the next day’s audition as Courtney Act. Courtney’s explosive, energetic performing style and joyous personality resonated with audiences. The new single was inspired by her live show at Disgraceland, a popular Australia nightclub renowned for its elaborate costumes, colorful dancers, and over-the-top fabulousness. Some of the biggest names in the world have attended Disgraceland.
See you on the dance floor bitches.
