Robyn just keeps getting better and better. She is back with the follow up to Body Talk Pt 1 (which was released in June of this year) aptly called Body Talk Pt 2. It starts where Part 1 left off. Robyn is an old pro at constructing likable electro pop delicacies and she does not disappoint her fans. Body Talk Pt 2’s standout tracks are “Hang With Me”, “Criminal Intent”, “Include Me Out” and “In My Eyes”. It’s hard to beat “Dancing On My Own”, but she continues to please with this collection. I’m sure most of her fans know that it was originally conceived as one collection but in these days of short attention spans, she chose to split it into three records (Pt 3 due in December) — and that’s why Robyn is one smart bitch.
And in case you are not sick of her yet, Rihanna is back with a new single, “Only Girl In The World” and it’s a sure fire #1 for the little girl from Barbados. From her forthcoming album Loud, OGITW is pure dance pop produced by superstar producers Stargate. The original version is ready for the dance floor so the remixers are going to have a blast with it even though I doubt anyone will beat the original. Rihanna is a powerhouse artist who just keeps churning out the hits. She has not stopped releasing singles and albums since 2005, and in a mere 5 years, she has become one of the biggest pop artists in the world. You go, girl! Can’t wait to hear your new collection!
Ok, I am going to go off for a moment because I just can’t take it anymore. PLEASE MAKE JUSTIN BIEBER STOP IT. Is he for real? And what is with that hair? It makes him look Lesbionic (is there such a word?) and I just don’t get the appeal? I’m sure I am aging myself, but I don’t care. Please make him go away along with Kim Kardashian (she is overexposed and not that interesting, though she has better hair).
